Classroom Noise Meter measures the loudness picked up by your microphone and shows it as a big traffic light plus a live level bar. You decide at which level the light turns yellow and red, so the same tool works for silent work, group work or workshop settings. The sound is analyzed in real time in your browser — nothing is ever recorded or uploaded, which makes it safe to use in classrooms.

No. The microphone signal is analyzed live for loudness only and immediately discarded — nothing is stored or transmitted.
Can I adjust when the light turns yellow or red?
Yes, both thresholds have sliders so you can calibrate the traffic light to your room and activity.
Why does the level jump when I click or type?
Laptop microphones pick up keyboard and desk vibrations strongly. Position the device away from typing hands if possible.
Does it show absolute decibel values?
No — browser microphones aren't calibrated measuring devices, so the meter shows a relative 0-100 scale instead of pretending to measure exact dB.
