What is this tool?
Grade Calculator takes a list of grades, each with its own weight, and works out the overall weighted average — the same method used by most courses to combine assignments, exams and participation into a final grade. Everything recalculates instantly in your browser as you edit the values.

Do the weights need to add up to 100?
No, the calculator normalizes by the total weight you enter, so they don't need to sum to exactly 100.
Can I add or remove grade rows?
Yes, click Add grade to add a new row, or Remove next to any row to delete it.
What happens if I leave a weight empty?
Rows with an empty or zero weight are ignored in the average calculation.
