What is this tool?

Perspective Crop Tool corrects the skewed, trapezoid-like shape you get when photographing a flat surface at an angle — like a document, receipt, whiteboard or sign. It computes a projective transform from the four corners you place and remaps every pixel to produce a flat, rectangular result, the same technique used by document-scanning apps. Everything runs locally in your browser using canvas pixel data.

Common uses

  • Straightening a photo of a document or receipt taken at an angle
  • Correcting a photo of a whiteboard or presentation slide for a clean, readable copy
  • Flattening a photo of a sign, poster or piece of paper
  • Preparing a skewed photo for OCR or archiving

FAQ

How accurate is the straightening?

It uses a mathematically exact projective transform based on the four corners you place, so accuracy depends on how precisely you position the handles on the real corners.

What size is the output image?

The output width and height are calculated automatically from the longest opposing edges of your selected area, to preserve as much detail as possible.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No, the entire transform is computed and rendered locally in your browser — your photo never leaves your device.
