The level bar doesn't move — what now?
Check that the right microphone is selected in your operating system, that it isn't muted (many headsets have hardware mute), and that the browser has microphone permission.
Is my voice uploaded anywhere?
No, the audio is analyzed and recorded only in your browser's memory. Nothing leaves your device, and the clip is gone when you close the page.
Why does my recorded voice sound different?
You normally hear your own voice partly through your skull, which adds bass. The recording is how others actually hear you.
Can I choose which microphone to test?
